You do make a good point on the Republican party and who would run against someone with a 60% approval or higher, however, In the short time this President has been in office, although his personal approval is still strong, his job approval is slipping fast, 36% strongly disapprove while only 33% strongly approve, and unless you are suggesting that the American people are just plain stupid, they will vote for the direction of the country not for the rock star. Another point is that Sarah Palin's interview with Katie Couric was the only awkward interview she had and the majority of true reporting will attest to that. Thanks for voicing your opinion. That's what it's all about.
